That's 4 years in a row that our 'Full City' roast won this prestigious Kona Coffee Council sponsored event at the Four Seasons. Richard is a retired Silicon Valley computer guy. Celeste is an RN with many years of experience in Critical Care and Emergency nursing and nursing education. Celeste is now Certified as a Master Gardener by the University of Hawaii.
Now we're all about coffee and vanilla! The coffee cherries are hand picked so that only the beans at peak ripeness are harvested. After hand picking, the cherries are pulped and skins composted. The beans are then fermented in water, then sun dried. This "parchment" coffee must next be milled to remove the parchment and silver skin (a thin layer next to the bean) before the coffee can be roasted. Our coffee is roasted locally to just the exact temperature that will bring out the full Kona coffee flavor.
